Karnataka has assigned Indian Administrative Service officer S Bharat the additional responsibility of serving as director of information technology at the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), according to an order issued by the state government on August 31.
The order gives Bharat, who is currently director of the Department of Pre-University Education, additional charge of the BMTC information technology director’s post.
