The two-day review brought together senior regional commanders, engineering officials and technical representatives to examine how operational readiness can keep pace with expanding maritime activity across West Bengal and Odisha. Discussions extended beyond security operations to include infrastructure delivery, maintenance planning, logistics management and future capital works aimed at supporting long-term coastal operations.The region occupies an important position within India’s maritime economy.
