The UP International Trade Show will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah at India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida on September 25, with 25 electric buses planned across three routes to connect the venue with Noida and Greater Noida during the five-day event.
The fourth edition of the trade show will run from September 25 to 29 and is expected to bring more than 1,000 exhibitors, industrialists, exporters and foreign buyers to the Expo Mart. Officials of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations said business-to-business meetings would be held between Indian and overseas participants.
Japan, Russia, Vietnam, Austria and Singapore have been included as partner countries for the event. The participating sectors include Uttar Pradesh’s micro, small and medium enterprises, textiles and apparel, leather, food processing, engineering, electronics, handicrafts, One District One Product businesses and services.
According to the organisers, the trade show is intended to connect products from Uttar Pradesh with global markets and present the state as a major sourcing hub. Foreign buyers and business delegations will have opportunities to meet state-based entrepreneurs directly and explore product procurement and sourcing arrangements.
The expected visitor volume has also prompted preparations by the local administration and traffic department. To support travel to the venue, 25 electric buses will operate on three routes between Botanical Garden in Noida and India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. The buses are scheduled to run at intervals of 20 minutes.
The first route will pass through Golf Course, City Centre, Hoshiarpur, Sector 51, Parthala, Gaur Chowk, Ek Murti Gol Chakkar in Greater Noida West and Surajpur Collectorate before reaching Expo Mart. The second route will travel through the Sector 37 underpass, Chhalera, Agahpur, Baraula, Sector 50 Metro Station, Sector 75 Metro Station, North Eye Chowk, Sector 116, Sector 78, Samsung Phase 2, Phool Mandi, Kulesara and Surajpur.
The third route will connect Botanical Garden with City Centre, Parthala Chowk, Gaur Chowk and Ek Murti Gol Chakkar before terminating at Expo Mart. The routes are intended to provide an alternative to private vehicles for visitors travelling between Noida and the exhibition venue.
The five-day event will bring together manufacturing, export and sourcing activity at one of Greater Noida’s largest exhibition venues. The administration’s transport arrangements will remain in place for visitors travelling to the trade show between September 25 and 29.
