The UP International Trade Show 2026 will be inaugurated at 11am on Friday at India Expo Mart and Centre in Knowledge Park, Greater Noida, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath scheduled to attend. The four-day event will showcase products from all 75 districts and include international participation from 88 countries.
The Uttar Pradesh government has deployed a large security and traffic-management operation for the fourth edition of the trade show. The venue has been divided into nine zones and 20 sectors, with 550 CCTV cameras and drones being used for surveillance, according to information shared by state officials.
A team from the Ministry of Home Affairs inspected the security arrangements on Thursday, when a helicopter landing was also conducted at the venue. The details were announced at a press conference by Uttar Pradesh Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Bhupendra Chaudhary and MSME department principal secretary Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil.
The security deployment includes seven deputy commissioners of police, 14 additional deputy commissioners of police, 38 assistant commissioners of police, 80 inspectors, 300 sub-inspectors, 40 women sub-inspectors and 1,500 constables. An additional 150 women constables have been assigned specifically to women’s security. Seven companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary and one company of the Rapid Action Force will also be deployed.
Traffic arrangements will be handled by three assistant commissioners of police, 10 traffic inspectors, 20 traffic sub-inspectors and 450 traffic constables. The deployment is intended to manage movement around the India Expo Mart complex during the event and its public visiting hours.
The trade show will be open to business visitors from 11am to 3pm and to the general public free of charge from 3pm to 8pm. The state government has described the event as a platform to present Uttar Pradesh products under the “Local for Global” initiative, bringing products from the state’s districts under one roof.
Six partner countries—Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Russia, Austria and Belarus—are participating this year. Officials said the event is expected to draw 600 international buyers and representatives from 88 countries. The participation is aimed at connecting local manufacturers, artisans and businesses with overseas buyers and delegations.
The cultural programme will include performances linked to different regions and traditions of Uttar Pradesh. The opening programme is scheduled to include conch playing and a ceremonial recitation by Baghpat’s Rashmi Arya, along with folk, Kathak and devotional performances by artists from Lucknow, Mathura and Mumbai.
The state government has not announced any changes to the public entry schedule in the information released ahead of the inauguration. Visitors and exhibitors will enter the venue under the security and traffic arrangements put in place for the four-day programme.
