The Railways will run special express trains from Tirupati to Vijayapura and Secunderabad in October to accommodate additional passenger demand during the festive season, with services offering different coach capacities and routes across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana.
Train No. 07419, the Tirupati–Vijayapura Special Express, will depart Tirupati at 8.15 am on Sundays from October 4 to October 25, making four trips. It will reach Vijayapura at 10.25 pm on the same day. The return service, Train No. 07420, will leave Vijayapura at 11.35 pm on Sundays and arrive in Tirupati at 2.15 pm the following Monday.
The Vijayapura-bound train will stop at Renigunta, Koduru, Razampeta, Kadapa, Yerraguntla, Tadipatri, Gooty, Guntakal, Ballari, Toranagallu, Hosapete, Koppal, Gadag, Hole Alur, Badami, Bagalkot, Almatti and Basavana Bagevadi Road. The route connects Tirupati with several important towns and railway points in the Rayalaseema, north Karnataka and adjoining regions.
The service will have 11 coaches. Its composition will include one AC 2-Tier coach, two AC 3-Tier coaches, four Sleeper coaches, two General Second Class coaches and two SLR coaches. The mix provides reserved and unreserved capacity for passengers travelling between Tirupati and Vijayapura.
A second special service, Train No. 07421, will connect Tirupati with Secunderabad. It will leave Tirupati at 4.30 pm on October 4 and reach Secunderabad at 7 am the following day. The return train will depart Secunderabad at 4.15 pm on October 5 and arrive in Tirupati at 6.45 am.
The Tirupati–Secunderabad service will have 22 coaches, including two AC 2-Tier coaches, six AC 3-Tier coaches, eight Sleeper coaches, four General coaches and two SLR coaches. Its larger composition compared with the Vijayapura service will provide additional capacity on the overnight connection between the two cities.
The special trains are being introduced as a temporary capacity measure during October, when the Railways expects extra passenger movement linked to the festive season. The announcement covers the listed departures and return services, including the four Sunday trips to Vijayapura and the October 4-5 service to Secunderabad.
