The Railway Board has approved three new train services and nine additional stoppages across routes in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and other states, expanding travel options for passengers. The changes include a new daily night train between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal, daily operation of the Pune–Beed Express and a daily MEMU service between Pratapnagar and Tanda Road.
The new Kanpur Central–Anand Vihar Terminal service, numbered 14153/14154, was announced on September 24. It will run daily and cover around 428 kilometres in both directions. The train will stop at eight stations: Phaphund, Etawah, Tundla, Hathras, Aligarh, Khurja, Dadri and Ghaziabad.
The train will leave Kanpur Central at 8:40 pm and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 4:50 am the following morning. On the return journey, it will depart Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:25 pm and arrive at Kanpur Central at 7:25 am. The service is intended to provide an additional overnight travel option between the Kanpur and Delhi regions. Passengers in Aligarh and other stations along the route will gain a direct night-time connection towards Kanpur, Etawah, Tundla and the Delhi-NCR region.
The Board has also approved daily operation of the 11433/11434 Pune–Beed Express. The Pune-bound service will depart Beed at 9:30 pm and reach Pune at 5:20 am, while the train from Pune will leave at 10:45 pm and arrive in Beed at 6 am. Stops on the route include Uruli, Daund Chord Line, Shrigonda Road, Ahilyanagar, Narayandoh, New Ashti and Amalner Bhandyache.
In Gujarat, the 69105/69106 Pratapnagar–Tanda Road MEMU has been approved for daily operation. According to the Railway Board circular cited in the report, the service from Pratapnagar will depart at 5 am, while the return service will leave Tanda Road at 5:05 pm and reach Pratapnagar at 9:25 pm. The route includes Dabhoi, Chhuchhapura, Bodeli, Pavi, Chhota Udepur, Padaliya Road, Motisadhli, Ambari Richhavi and Alirajpur in Madhya Pradesh, as well as Khandala, Jobat and Dekakund.
Nine existing trains have also received approval for new stoppages. The Danapur–Anand Vihar Terminal Jansadharan Express will stop at Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh; the Barmer–Jammu Tawi Express at Sambhar Lake; and the Jaisalmer–Kathgodam Ranikhet Express at Malakhera. The Bandra Terminus–Udaipur Express will stop at Kapasan, while the Bilaspur–Tirupati Express will stop at Norla Road.
The Mumbai CSMT–Howrah Geetanjali Express and Pune–Howrah Azad Hind Express will both receive a stoppage at Ghatshila. The Tatanagar–Ernakulam Express will stop at Manoharpur, and the Shri Ganganagar–Bandra Terminus Amarapura Aravali Express will stop at Gogamedi.
The approvals do not mean that the services or stoppages have started immediately. The relevant railway zones must issue notifications specifying the implementation dates and operational schedules. Passengers have been advised to check the latest official railway information before booking tickets or planning travel on these routes.
