The service will run as train number 19427 from Bhuj to Barauni. It will depart from Bhuj at 5.30 pm and reach Barauni at 4.05 am after completing its journey. The train will operate from Bhuj on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The return service, train number 19428, will leave Barauni at 11.55 pm and arrive at Bhuj at 1.15 pm. It will operate from Barauni on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The report does not specify the calendar date of the service’s first operation, but states that the operating schedule has been fixed.
The route will pass through more than 20 stations across the four states. The listed stops include Samakhyali, Ahmedabad, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bharatpur, Mathura, Hathras, Bareilly, Izzatnagar, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Siwan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur.
The service will create a long-distance rail link between several major urban centres and regional junctions rather than serving only the endpoints. Ahmedabad, Ratlam, Kota, Mathura, Gorakhpur and Muzaffarpur are among the locations included in the route, giving passengers from multiple districts access to a through service towards western Gujarat or northern Bihar.
The announcement is particularly relevant for passengers who regularly travel for work, trade and family or economic activities between the four states.
