Pune Metro Line 3 Cuts Last Train Hours on Diwali

Pune Metro Line 3 will run on a revised timetable on Sunday, November 8, for Diwali, with the last train from Maan to District Court leaving at 7:40 pm instead of the regular 10:30 pm service.

The first trains on the corridor will begin operating at 6 am. The final service from District Court towards Maan will depart at 8:40 pm, compared with the usual last departure at 11:40 pm.

The revised timings mean that passengers using Line 3 during the evening will have a shorter operating window than on a regular day. Commuters travelling after the revised last-departure times will need to plan their journeys accordingly, particularly if their trip involves a connection between Line 3 and the wider Pune Metro network.

According to the revised schedule reported for MahaMetro’s Diwali operations, connecting train services to and from Pune Metro Lines 1 and 2 will continue. The interchanges are intended to remain available for passengers travelling between the corridors, although the earlier final departures on Line 3 will affect late-evening journeys.

The change is part of a broader festival operating adjustment for Pune Metro Lines 1 and 2. The revised schedule has been announced for Diwali, when metro operations are being modified from the regular timetable. Passengers using the network on November 8 have been advised to check the departure timings and reach stations in time for the last trains.

For Line 3 users travelling from Maan, the key deadline is the 7:40 pm departure for District Court. Passengers travelling in the opposite direction must plan around the 8:40 pm final departure from District Court to Maan. These timings are earlier than the usual last trains by 2 hours and 50 minutes in the Maan-to-District Court direction and by three hours in the return direction.

The revised timetable is limited to Sunday, November 8, according to the schedule information available in the announcement. Regular operating timings outside the Diwali adjustment have not been changed in the information provided. MahaMetro’s festival schedule will determine the availability of services and interchanges during the revised operating period.
