Pune Metro services will be suspended for five hours on Sunday, November 8, 2026, to allow the observance of Lakshmi Pujan, with trains operating only between 6 am and 6 pm that day.
According to Pune Metro, services will remain unavailable from 6 pm to 11 pm on Sunday. The revised schedule applies to the metro network in Pune and is intended to inform commuters travelling during the festival period.
Metro authorities have appealed to passengers to take note of the change and plan their journeys accordingly. The operator has also expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension.
The service interruption will affect evening travel on November 8, when regular metro operations will not be available after 6 pm. Commuters who rely on the metro for work, shopping, connecting journeys or festival-related travel will need to complete their trips before the revised closing time or make alternative arrangements.
Pune Metro services are scheduled to resume under the regular timetable on Monday, November 9. Trains will operate from 6 am to 11 pm, restoring the normal daily service window after the festival-related suspension.
