Noida Vehicle Bookings Cross 9,000 Ahead of Navratri Rush

Vehicle bookings in Noida and Greater Noida have crossed 9,000 ahead of Navratri, with dealerships preparing deliveries of cars and two-wheelers during the nine-day festive period from October 11 to 19. Dealers said demand has risen because of new model launches, festive discounts and the traditional preference for buying vehicles during auspicious days.

A large number of customers have booked vehicles in advance for delivery during Navratri. Dealers said demand is expected to be particularly high on Navami, when many buyers have requested delivery. Preparations have consequently expanded across showrooms, delivery operations and vehicle registration counters.

Mohammed Imran, chief business officer at Karma Hyundai, said customers were showing strong interest in booking cars for Navratri. The dealership is preparing to deliver more than 150 cars from its two showrooms during the period, with customer preferences varying according to model and price.

Deepak Verma, general manager of sales at Sagar Motors, said five showrooms in Noida and Greater Noida were preparing to deliver more than 800 vehicles. He said bookings were strongest for cars priced up to Rs 10 lakh. Maruti, Mahindra and other manufacturers are together preparing for the delivery of more than 2,000 cars during Navratri, according to the report.

Two-wheeler dealers are also expecting higher sales. A typical dealership is preparing for an average of 50 to 150 deliveries during the festive period. Several dealerships have increased their delivery and registration arrangements to handle the additional volume. Some showrooms have extended operating hours until 9 pm.

The increased demand is also placing greater emphasis on the registration process. Dealers and the Regional Transport Office are preparing to speed up registrations as vehicles are delivered during the festive period. The transport department recorded more than 8,700 vehicle registrations in Noida and Greater Noida during Navratri last year, with two-wheelers accounting for the larger share.

This year’s dealership preparations and advance bookings are reported to be higher than last year’s level. The festive sales cycle is expected to continue after Navratri, with dealers anticipating another increase in deliveries around Dhanteras. Vehicle companies and dealerships have begun preparing stock and delivery operations for the wider festive season, including demand after the end of Pitru Paksha.
