Noida GCC Investment Gets Cabinet Nod, Robotics Park Approved

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved four Global Capability Centres in Noida and a 69.52-acre robotics park in Greater Noida, clearing investment proposals worth Rs 1,709.84 crore and a project that the state says will create more than one lakh jobs across the region.

The decisions were taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Cabinet also approved issuing Letters of Comfort to the four industrial units that have proposed setting up the centres in Noida.

The approved proposals include Rs 879 crore from Havells India Limited, Rs 112.84 crore from Ameriprise India LLP, Rs 84 crore from MetLife Global Operations Support Centre Private Limited and Rs 634 crore from LG Soft India Limited. The centres are expected to support activities including technology development, research, financial services, digital operations and engineering.

The approvals place Noida’s expanding technology and corporate-services ecosystem alongside a separate industrial development plan in Greater Noida. The robotics park will cover 69.52 acres and will be developed in two zones. The first zone will occupy eight acres and will be developed and operated through a special purpose vehicle formed under a public-private partnership model.

Under the proposed structure, the Greater Noida Authority will hold a 26 per cent stake in the special purpose vehicle, while the selected industrial partner will hold the remaining 74 per cent. The authority will contribute Rs 21.1 crore towards the development of the first zone. The state government will provide an interest-free loan of Rs 126.2 crore for 30 years.

The second zone will be spread across 61.52 acres and will be reserved for private enterprises to invest in industrial units and related activities. According to the Cabinet proposal reported by Live Hindustan, the state government will have no capital liability for the development of this zone.

The robotics park is planned as a campus with advanced facilities, although the Cabinet approval details reported so far do not specify the final industrial mix, construction timeline, number of units or the implementation milestones for either zone. Those details will determine how quickly the planned land is converted into operating industrial capacity.

The Global Capability Centre proposals have been approved under Uttar Pradesh’s GCC policy. Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said the implementation rules for the policy were issued on January 7, 2026. A high-level empowered committee chaired by the Chief Secretary considered the four industrial proposals at its meeting on July 10, 2026, before the Cabinet approved the Letters of Comfort.

GCCs are typically established by multinational and large companies to manage functions such as research, engineering, finance, technology and global business operations. Their expansion can increase demand for specialised office space and skilled employment, while the robotics park is intended to add an industrial and manufacturing-oriented component to Greater Noida’s economic base.

The next steps will involve issuing the Letters of Comfort, finalising the industrial partner and special purpose vehicle for the first robotics-park zone, and taking forward land and project development arrangements for both zones.
