Noida Elevated Road Clears DPR Hurdle With ₹850-Crore Plan

Noida’s proposed elevated road from the Rajnigandha underpass to Sector 60 has cleared a key planning hurdle, with IIT Roorkee completing the detailed project report for the 5.49-km, six-lane corridor. The project is estimated to cost between ₹800 crore and ₹850 crore, according to information reported by Navbharat Times – Noida.

The Noida Authority had commissioned IIT Roorkee to prepare the DPR after approving a revised alignment for the road. The report is scheduled to be submitted to the authority by Friday, according to the report. No construction start date or completion deadline has been announced in the supplied information.

The project had remained pending for an extended period because its alignment had not been finalised. The revised route begins near the Rajnigandha underpass and is planned to pass through Sector 3, Sector 10, Sector 12, the Sector 22 T-point and Sector 57 before reaching Sector 60.

A technically complex section has been identified near the Sector 12 and Sector 22 T-point. The elevated road will have to change direction at this location, requiring a specially designed curve. IIT Roorkee has given particular attention to the design of this section while preparing the DPR, according to the report.

The proposed corridor is expected to provide a direct elevated connection across several established sectors in central Noida. The report said the road would make travel between the Delhi Noida Direct flyway and Sector 62 easier, although it did not provide traffic projections, travel-time estimates or details of expected diversions during construction.

The DPR will now provide the technical and cost basis for the authority’s next decisions on the project. Further details on construction approval, tendering, funding and the implementation schedule were not available in the supplied report.
