Karnataka KEA Exam Schedule Sets Dates for 255 Civic Jobs

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced the schedule for written examinations for 255 posts across the Directorate of Municipal Administration, the Employees’ State Insurance department and the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society’s Kalyana Karnataka cadre.

According to KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna, examinations for specific subjects will be held on November 6, November 7 and November 14, followed by a general knowledge examination for the relevant posts on November 14 afternoon.

The Directorate of Municipal Administration’s recruitment examinations for three Grade 1 electrician posts and five Grade 2 electrician posts will be held on November 6. These examinations will cover the specific subjects prescribed for the respective positions.

On November 7, KEA will conduct specific-subject examinations for 11 pharmacy officer posts in the Employees’ State Insurance department. The same day will also see examinations for 23 nursing officer posts and 11 additional nursing officer posts under the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society.

The largest set of vacancies is in municipal water-supply operations. KEA has scheduled the specific-subject examination on November 14 for 122 water-supply operator posts and 80 assistant water-supply operator posts under the Directorate of Municipal Administration. The general knowledge examination for all the listed posts will be conducted after noon on November 14, the authority said.

The municipal vacancies are linked to functions that affect the routine operation of urban services, particularly water-supply systems and electrical maintenance. Water-supply operators and assistant operators form part of the workforce responsible for operating and maintaining municipal water infrastructure, although the announcement does not provide details on the locations of postings, the recruitment stages after the written tests or the expected appointment timeline.

The schedule therefore marks the next formal stage for candidates who have applied for these positions. It also places the examination process across three dates, with the municipal water-supply recruitment concentrated on November 14 and the health-related and residential-school positions examined on November 7.

KEA has not, in the supplied announcement, specified examination centres, reporting times, hall-ticket release dates or the subsequent document-verification process. Candidates will need to follow further instructions issued by the authority for these operational details.
