Indore food safety inspections have covered 15 sweets, namkeen and dairy establishments in Indore and Betma, with officials collecting 54 samples for laboratory testing ahead of Diwali. The samples will be sent to the State Food Laboratory in Bhopal, while further action will follow after the test reports are received, according to an official release cited by the food safety administration.
The special drive was conducted over Friday and Saturday to check whether food businesses were maintaining cleanliness, using safe raw materials and complying with hygiene and food safety requirements during preparation, storage and sale.
