Hyderabad Property Show Signals Strong Buyer Demand

HYDERABAD, August 31: The CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026 ended after attracting about 36,000 visitors over three days, offering a snapshot of continued buyer interest in the city’s residential and commercial property market. The event brought developers, homebuyers and financial institutions together as Hyderabad’s expanding employment base and infrastructure continue to influence real estate demand.

Held under the theme ‘Rate Aagadhu Demand Thaggadhu’, the exhibition allowed visitors to compare RERA-approved projects and interact directly with developers. The strong footfall indicates that despite rising property values, potential buyers remain engaged with the market. A major discussion at the event focused on land auctions, rising land values and the future direction of Hyderabad’s property market. Industry participants examined how large land transactions and the expansion of Global Capability Centres are influencing development patterns across the city. Hyderabad’s western corridor remains a major focus for real estate activity. Established employment clusters, technology companies and improved connectivity have supported residential and commercial development in areas around the city’s western business districts.

However, the market is gradually becoming more diverse. Emerging corridors are attracting developers as land availability becomes tighter in established locations. This expansion could create new housing supply, but it also increases the need for coordinated transport, water, drainage and social infrastructure. Office demand is another important driver. Data presented during the event indicated that Hyderabad recorded 7.5 million sq ft of office leasing in the first half of 2026, representing a 29% year-on-year increase. GCCs accounted for 45% of the reported demand. The connection between employment and housing is significant. New offices bring specialised workers into the city, creating demand for homes, rental accommodation, retail and other services. Areas with strong employment connectivity can therefore gain an advantage in attracting residential development. Buyer behaviour is also changing. Market discussions indicated greater attention to connectivity, project quality and long-term value rather than simply purchasing based on location or price. This could encourage developers to compete more strongly on amenities, construction standards and access to transport.

The exhibition also featured discussions on Hyderabad’s growth over the past two decades and its potential direction over the next two. A Hyderabad-focused real estate trends report was also unveiled during the event, providing additional market insights. For the wider city, continued property growth brings both opportunities and risks. New investment can support employment and economic activity, but rapid development without adequate infrastructure can increase congestion and place pressure on civic resources. The next phase of Hyderabad’s real estate expansion will therefore depend on more than demand alone. Efficient public transport, resilient infrastructure, responsible land use and access to housing will be important as new growth corridors develop. The property show’s strong turnout suggests that market interest remains firm. The challenge for Hyderabad will be ensuring that this investment-led growth translates into well-connected, inclusive and sustainable urban development.
