Environmental groups and regular visitors have raised questions over continued sewage inflows and the reported obstruction of a stormwater inlet, highlighting the need for stronger protection of one of Hyderabad’s most important urban green spaces.

The issue centres on the KBR Park lake pollution concerns, with environmental activists alleging that a stormwater drain designed to channel rainwater into the lake has been blocked while contaminated water from surrounding neighbourhoods continues to enter the waterbody.
