Delhi Metro International Limited (DMIL), the wholly-owned subsidiary of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), will make its global debut at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin as it seeks international opportunities in metro operations, consultancy, project management and advisory services.
The company will use the biennial rail transport trade fair to engage with transit authorities, infrastructure companies, technology providers, funders, developers and other mobility stakeholders, according to a statement. DMIL has submitted five international bids in the last three months as part of its expansion plans.
The subsidiary is exploring opportunities in West Asia and selected European markets, while evaluating prospects in North America and keeping Africa on its watch list. At InnoTrans 2026, it will be present at Hall 7.2C, Stand 240, where it will showcase its capabilities and discuss potential partnerships across the international urban transport ecosystem.
The company said the 2026 edition of the event will focus on technologies transforming rail transport, including autonomous public transport, cybersecurity, robotics, 3D printing and artificial intelligence. These areas are increasingly connected to how metro systems are planned, built, operated and maintained, although DMIL’s stated offering covers the full project lifecycle rather than a single technology segment.
DMIL CEO Sanjay Jamuar said the event would provide a platform to showcase the expertise of DMRC and DMIL globally and engage with transit authorities, infrastructure partners and mobility leaders. “Cities are looking for integrated, flexible and future-ready mobility solutions. We see an opportunity to take our engineering expertise and real-world operational experience to international markets,” Jamuar said.
DMIL provides operations and maintenance, consultancy, project management and advisory services for metro, rail and urban transit projects in India and international markets. It plans to leverage Delhi Metro’s experience in planning, construction and operations to support projects from feasibility studies and planning through implementation, testing, commissioning, operations and maintenance.
Delhi Metro operates a network of more than 416 km with over 300 stations and handles nearly 6.5 million passenger boardings daily, according to the DMRC. The scale of that operating experience is central to DMIL’s international pitch as it seeks assignments beyond Delhi and India’s domestic urban transport market. Its next public engagement will be its participation at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin.
