Delhi BJP workers staged a protest outside the Aam Aadmi Party office on Sunday over the suicide of an alleged Municipal Corporation of Delhi sanitation worker, demanding action against AAP councillor Vijay Kumar of Trilokpuri and an impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
The protesters alleged that the sanitation worker, identified as Deepak, was driven to take his own life after facing financial difficulties linked to the councillor. The allegation was made by BJP leaders during the protest and has not been independently established in the report. The BJP demanded that AAP expel Kumar from the party and that those responsible face action.
Lok Sabha MP Yogender Chandoliya and Delhi BJP state vice president Sunil Yadav were among those who participated in the demonstration. Deepak’s wife and minor daughter were also accompanied by BJP leaders during the protest, according to the report.
