Cyberabad IT firms and other organisations have been asked to consider early logout and work-from-home options from November 3 to 5 as moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast across Hyderabad. The advisory from Cyberabad Traffic Police is intended to reduce congestion, limit commuter exposure to rainy conditions and keep emergency services moving.
Organisations have been requested to introduce staggered logout timings from 2 pm, with employees preferably completing their departure by 4 pm. The traffic police have also urged companies to allow work from home wherever feasible during the three-day period.
The advisory targets one of Hyderabad’s most concentrated employment and commuting zones, where large office campuses release substantial numbers of employees onto the road network within a narrow evening window. By spreading departures across a longer period, authorities aim to reduce the traffic build-up that can intensify when rain slows vehicle movement and affects road conditions.
The measures also connect workplace scheduling with emergency mobility. Cyberabad Traffic Police said the steps are intended to minimise travel risks and allow emergency services to move without disruption during the rainy weather. The request applies to IT companies and other organisations operating within the Cyberabad area.
Companies have been asked to share their locations and planned logout timings with the Cyberabad Traffic Police at cybtrcc@gmail.com. The information will help officials plan traffic-management measures across the area during the advisory period.
The request does not mandate a blanket closure of offices or work-from-home arrangements. Instead, organisations have been asked to consider staggered timings and remote work based on feasibility while the rainfall forecast remains in effect through November 5.
