CIDCO 2024 Affordable Homes in Navi Mumbai

The City Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has unveiled its 2024 housing lottery, offering a diverse range of 902 affordable homes in Navi Mumbai. This initiative follows the recent MHADA housing lottery for Mumbai, aiming to cater to various income groups through an accessible and transparent selection process.

The CIDCO lottery features residential units priced between ₹26 lakh and ₹2 crore, distributed across several prominent locations in Navi Mumbai, including Kalamboli, Kharghar, and Ghansoli. The allocation includes 213 flats in well-established areas such as Kalamboli, Kharghar, and Ghansoli, and an additional 689 flats in CIDCO’s Valleyshilp, Swapnpurti, and Vastuvihar-Celebration housing complexes at Kharghar. Applications for the lottery are currently being accepted online, with the deadline set for September 26, 2024. The lottery results are scheduled to be announced on October 10, 2024. This year’s lottery encompasses a broad spectrum of housing categories, including Economic Weaker Section (EWS), Lower Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), and High Income Group (HIG).

Applicants within different income brackets can apply for the respective categories EWS for those earning up to ₹6 lakh per annum, LIG for incomes between ₹6 lakh and ₹9 lakh, MIG for incomes from ₹9 lakh to ₹12 lakh, and HIG for those with annual earnings exceeding ₹12 lakh. In parallel, the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has commenced its housing lottery for 2024, accepting applications from August 9 until September 4. The MHADA lottery includes properties priced between ₹29 lakh and ₹7.58 crore, with the results slated for September 13, 2024.

As of the latest update, MHADA has received over 22,000 applications, with more than 14,500 applicants having completed the earnest money deposit. This extensive housing initiative by CIDCO and MHADA aims to address the growing demand for affordable housing and provide more opportunities for residents in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai to secure home ownership.
