Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad is preparing to transform a key canal corridor into an integrated urban transport and public space network, with plans combining wider roads, landscaped green buffers, service lanes and pedestrian infrastructure. The master plan proposes the development of 9.5-metre-wide carriageways on both sides of the canal, supported by six-metre-wide service roads where land availability permits.
