The certification consolidates previously separate management systems, streamlining operations and standardising procedures across all sites. In addition to environmental and operational improvements, the company has secured SA 8000 certification for social accountability, formalising labour rights, workplace safety, ethical employment practices, and the prohibition of child or forced labour. This certification reinforces the company’s commitment to equitable and inclusive industrial growth, which is particularly relevant as cement plants often anchor semi-urban and rural economies.
