The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has initiated a large-scale tree plantation drive along the Delhi–Dehradun Economic Corridor. The campaign, commemorating the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ initiative, aims to plant approximately 40000 trees along the corridor, with the first sapling planted at Katha Toll Plaza in Baghpat District, Uttar Pradesh.
The plantation drive witnessed active participation from NHAI officials, local administration, and students from various schools. The initiative underscores NHAI’s commitment to integrating environmental considerations into infrastructure development, aligning with the broader vision of creating eco-friendly and sustainable transportation corridors. The Delhi–Dehradun Economic Corridor is a pivotal infrastructure project aimed at enhancing connectivity between Delhi and Uttarakhand.
