Indore Bangkok Flight Added as Airport Expands Winter Connectivity

Indore airport’s winter schedule will add a direct flight to Bangkok from December 2, while also increasing services to Ahmedabad and Mumbai and changing connectivity to Abu Dhabi, according to the schedule listed for Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport. The Bangkok service, operated by Air India Express, is scheduled to run four days a week and depart Indore at 9:40am. Bookings for the international flight had not opened at the time of the report.

The new Indore-Bangkok flight will give passengers a direct international option from the Madhya Pradesh airport, removing the need to route through another Indian airport for the journey. The schedule does not specify the operating days or the arrival time in Bangkok.

The winter timetable also changes the airport’s Abu Dhabi connection. The flight will move from its earlier night schedule to a daytime departure at 8:40am from October 25. The timing change will affect passengers planning onward international travel through Abu Dhabi and those using the route for inbound travel to the Indore region.

On domestic routes, IndiGo is scheduled to introduce a third daily flight to Ahmedabad. The airport will also gain connecting flight options to Kochi through Goa and Pune, with passengers able to continue on the same booking without changing aircraft, according to the report. These options are listed as additions to the winter schedule rather than as new direct flights from Indore to Kochi.

The schedule will reduce connectivity on some routes even as it expands services on others. Direct flights between Indore and Jabalpur will be discontinued. On the Mumbai corridor, flight frequency will rise from two services a day to three. Air India Express, however, will reduce its Delhi services from four flights to three, while another Delhi service will be scaled back from two flights to one.

The changes indicate a redistribution of available flight capacity across domestic and international corridors at Indore airport. For passengers, the effect will vary by destination: Bangkok, Ahmedabad and Mumbai will receive additional options, while Jabalpur travellers will lose direct air connectivity and Delhi passengers will have fewer services to choose from.

Passengers have been advised to check the latest airline schedules before booking, as flight timings, operating days and availability may change. The Bangkok service is scheduled to begin on December 2, subject to the opening of bookings and the final operational timetable.
