Pune Airport Adds Daily Direct Flight to Bhubaneswar

Pune Airport will get a new daily non-stop connection to Bhubaneswar from October 25, 2026, with IndiGo deploying an Airbus A320 on the overnight route under the Winter Schedule 2026–27. The service will give passengers travelling between Maharashtra and Odisha a direct alternative to flights involving stopovers.

According to a report by Pune Mirror – Pune, IndiGo flight 6E 6055 will depart from Pune at 11.50 pm and arrive at Bhubaneswar at 1.55 am the following day. The return service, flight 6E 0441, will leave Bhubaneswar at 2.35 am and reach Pune at 4.40 am.

Both flights are scheduled to operate every day. The overnight timings are expected to provide travellers with an option that preserves most of their daytime hours at their destination. The connection could be used by business travellers, students, tourists and passengers travelling between the two states for personal reasons.

The direct service will also remove the need for passengers to change aircraft at an intermediate airport when travelling between Pune and Bhubaneswar. For travellers whose schedules do not align with existing connecting services, a non-stop overnight flight can reduce the number of separate operational stages in the journey.

The new route comes as airlines prepare their revised operations for the Winter Schedule 2026–27. IndiGo is scheduled to take up 216 of Pune Airport’s 235 daily slots during the period, according to the report. The airline’s share of the airport’s scheduled operations underlines its role in determining the range of direct connections available from Pune.

The Pune–Bhubaneswar link will strengthen the airport’s direct connectivity with eastern India. Bhubaneswar serves as Odisha’s capital and is an important destination for government, education, business, tourism and personal travel. The new service will provide passengers with another option for reaching the city without routing through a larger connecting airport.

The operating schedule also creates an early-morning arrival in Bhubaneswar and an early-morning return to Pune. Passengers will need to account for the late-night departure and overnight travel when planning airport transfers, onward transport and accommodation. The published timings indicate that the return flight will arrive in Pune at 4.40 am.

The service is scheduled to begin on October 25 as part of IndiGo’s revised operations for the winter period. The airline will operate the route daily using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
