Noida’s MLC polling arrangements came under direct review on Thursday as Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate Medha Roopam and Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh inspected multiple polling centres during voting for the 2026 Meerut division graduate and teacher constituencies.

The officials jointly reviewed polling operations, security arrangements and facilities available to voters across the district. They also interacted with polling personnel, election workers and voters to obtain feedback on the arrangements and the conduct of the process.

The inspection covered polling locations including IIT Roorkee, Greater Noida; Panchsheel Balak Inter College in Sector 91, Noida; and the Government Postgraduate College in Sector 39, Noida. During the visits, the officials sought details from polling personnel on how the voting process was being conducted and examined the facilities available at the centres.

Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh directed the concerned officers to maintain strict law and order and ensure adequate security so that eligible voters could cast their ballots without fear. District Magistrate Medha Roopam stressed that polling should remain free, transparent and peaceful in accordance with the standards prescribed by the Election Commission of India.

Gautam Buddh Nagar has 13 polling centres and 42 polling stations for the two constituencies. Of these, 25 polling stations are designated for the graduate constituency and 17 for the teacher constituency. The district and police administrations kept the polling arrangements under continuous observation during the voting period. Officials were instructed to complete the process safely within the scheduled time and to ensure that voters received necessary facilities at the polling locations.

Additional Police Commissioner Rajiv Narayan Mishra, Dadri Sub-Divisional Magistrate Abhinendra Singh and other officials from the district administration and police department were present during the inspections.
