The proposed highway is expected to strengthen connectivity between Hyderabad’s airport region and emerging industrial clusters, while raising important questions around equitable land compensation, sustainable planning and long-term regional development.
The planned corridor is designed to improve movement between the Outer Ring Road and rapidly developing areas extending towards Kodangal. Urban planners believe the project could reduce freight travel times, ease pressure on existing road networks and improve access to industrial and logistics hubs located on Hyderabad’s south-western fringe.
