Vijayawada Skill Training Opens Free Web and Mechanic Courses

Unemployed youth in Vijayawada can register for free training in web development and two-wheeler mechanics under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, with employment opportunities to be facilitated for eligible trainees after completion of the courses.

The NTR district administration announced the programmes through the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation. NTR district collector Dr G. Lakshisha said the initiative is intended to equip young people with job-oriented skills and improve their employment prospects.

The three-month Web Developer course will be conducted at the Skill Hub located at Government Polytechnic College, opposite Ramesh Hospital in Vijayawada. Candidates who have completed Intermediate, a diploma or any degree can apply for this course.

The two-wheeler mechanic programme is open to candidates who have passed Class 10, ITI, diploma or Intermediate. Both men and women who meet the eligibility requirements have been asked to register by September 18.

The administration said employment opportunities in reputed companies would also be facilitated for eligible trainees after they complete the courses. The announcement did not specify the number of training seats, participating companies or the placement process.

Employment officer C. Madhubushan Rao and district skill development officer S. Srinivasa Rao will supervise the programmes. Applicants seeking further information can contact Venkat on 9912137965 or Kishore on 9985759304.

The initiative places the district administration and APSSDC in charge of linking short-term vocational training with employment support. Further details on batch sizes, class schedules and placement outcomes will determine how many applicants ultimately benefit from the programme.
