On August 9, 2024, a pivotal meeting was convened at the Chakan Industrial Estate to address pressing concerns related to waste management, encroachments, and road infrastructure. This meeting, held under the directives of the Pune Collector, brought together key stakeholders from various sectors, including government officials and industry leaders.
The gathering included prominent figures such as the General Manager of the District Industries Centre (DIC) Pune, the Area Manager of MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation), the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department Pune North Division, and the Senior Police Inspector of Traffic. Also present were the Deputy Engineer of NHAI (National Highways Authority of India), the Secretary of the Federation of Chakan Industries, and representatives from major companies including BOSS, Bajaj, Hyundai, ARAI, and Tenacco.
The meeting was convened to address a range of critical issues impacting the Chakan Industrial Estate.
