Telangana rainfall intensified on Saturday, with several districts recording heavy showers while Hyderabad and its surrounding areas experienced moderate rain and overcast conditions, according to rainfall data cited from the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS).
Mancherial recorded the highest rainfall in the state during the period reported. Kannepalli mandal received 132.3 mm between 8.30 am and noon on Saturday, making it the wettest location among the areas listed in the report.
Other districts also recorded substantial rainfall. Raiparthy mandal in Warangal received 89.3 mm, while Rebbena in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district recorded 73.5 mm. Kesamudram in Mahabubabad registered 71.5 mm during the same reporting period.
Heavy spells were also reported from Bheemini in Mancherial district, which received 68.5 mm, and Kalleda in Warangal, where rainfall reached 66.3 mm. The figures indicate that the monsoon activity was spread across multiple districts rather than being limited to one location.
In the Hyderabad region, Medchal-Malkajgiri district recorded the highest rainfall among the areas mentioned. Ghanpur (NTPC) in Ghatkesar mandal received 22.5 mm. Malkajgiri recorded 9.8 mm, while Abdullapurmet received 5.8 mm, with showers continuing until Saturday afternoon.
The change in weather brought moderate spells of rain and overcast skies to Hyderabad and neighbouring districts. The rainfall measurements reported by TSDPS cover the period from the morning through the afternoon on Saturday, as the southwest monsoon gained momentum across Telangana.
