Suzlon has secured a 200 MW wind energy order from Ayana Renewable Power for a project in Madhya Pradesh, the company said on September 8, 2026. The project will use 64 of Suzlon’s S144 wind turbines and connect the generated power to the Madhya Pradesh state grid.
The order marks Suzlon’s third devco-led wind project across Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh, according to a company statement cited by the Press Trust of India. A devco-led order involves an integrated development model in which the renewable energy supplier manages the project from early-stage site development through construction and related services.
The project will be executed at Limbawas in Madhya Pradesh. Each S144 turbine has a rated capacity of 3.15 megawatts, giving the 64-turbine installation a combined capacity of about 200 MW. Suzlon said its flagship 3.x MW S144 platform has now crossed the 10 GW milestone in cumulative orders or installations, as stated by the company.
Suzlon Vice Chairman and Co-Founder Girish Tanti said Madhya Pradesh has more than 55 GW of wind potential at a height of 150 metres and is positioned to support the next phase of India’s wind energy growth. He said the company had secured two consecutive wind orders from the state.
The company will execute the project through its comprehensive engineering, procurement and construction offering. The scope includes turbine supply, land acquisition, balance-of-plant work, a pooling substation, an extra-high-voltage transmission line, commissioning, and operations and maintenance services.
The order is also significant for Ayana Renewable Power as it establishes the company’s wind presence in Madhya Pradesh. Lakshmi Narayanan B, Ayana’s Head of Business Development, said the company would work with Suzlon to deliver the project and contribute to India’s clean energy transition.
Suzlon Chief Executive Officer Ajay Kapur said the company’s integrated approach was creating additional opportunities to develop renewable energy assets. He said Suzlon had secured four wind orders across two states in a short period, without providing a project completion timeline in the statement.
The project’s next stages will involve the development and construction activities covered under Suzlon’s EPC scope, followed by commissioning and connection to the Madhya Pradesh state grid. The company statement did not disclose the project’s investment value or expected commissioning date.
