SpiceJet Website Outage Disrupts Check-In and Booking Services

SpiceJet passengers are facing difficulties with online check-in, payments and booking management after a technical problem affected the airline’s website, prompting the carrier to introduce manual check-in and boarding procedures at airports on October 28.

The airline reported the disruption through its official X handle and asked passengers to reach the airport earlier than usual to complete the required formalities. The additional time is intended to help travellers manage check-in and boarding without rushing while the website remains affected.

The technical issue is impacting several passenger-facing services, including online check-in, payment-related processes and the ability to manage bookings. The airline has not indicated that all flight operations have been suspended, but passengers may face longer processing times at airports because of the shift to manual procedures.

SpiceJet said airport staff have been instructed to facilitate manual check-in and boarding for travellers. Passengers have been advised to verify their flight and travel details before leaving for the airport and to allow extra time for procedures that would normally be completed through the airline’s website.

Travellers requiring assistance with ticket changes or booking cancellations can contact SpiceJet’s 24-hour customer helpline on 0124 4983410 or 0124 7101600. The airline has asked passengers to remain patient and cooperate with airport and ground staff while the problem is being addressed.

The disruption also affects the digital services that passengers use to make last-minute changes to their travel plans. With online booking management unavailable or disrupted, travellers seeking cancellations or ticket modifications may need to rely on the helpline instead of completing those actions through the website.

SpiceJet said efforts were under way to restore the affected services as soon as possible. The airline has not provided a confirmed timeline for when the website will be fully operational again. Passengers are expected to check their flight information and arrive early until the technical problem is resolved.
