Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is scheduled to visit Sircilla on September 30 to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development works valued at ₹345 crore, covering schools, handloom marketing, temple infrastructure, government offices and public services.
The visit will be Revanth Reddy’s first to Sircilla as chief minister. He is expected to address a public meeting after the project ceremonies. Sircilla assembly constituency is represented by BRS working president KT Rama Rao. The chief minister had earlier announced visits to Sircilla, Gajwel and Siddipet, the constituencies represented by BRS leaders K Chandrasekhar Rao, KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao. Dates for the Siddipet and Gajwel visits have not been finalised, according to the report.
A major focus of the Sircilla programme will be the local handloom and powerloom economy. The government has proposed a Nethanna Bazaar to provide marketing facilities for locally produced handloom and powerloom goods, including petticoats and polyester fabrics. Proposals covering infrastructure and financial assistance have been submitted to the commissioner of handlooms and textiles. Final approval and cost estimates are still awaited.
The education component includes foundation stones for Young India Integrated Residential Schools in Sircilla and Vemulawada at a stated cost of ₹200 crore. The proposed school complex at Pedduru will be spread across 18 acres and include 64 classrooms, dormitories, a dining block and sports facilities. It is planned to accommodate about 2,600 students from Classes 5 to 12.
Telangana Public Schools are also proposed in Sircilla and Konaraopet. The planned facilities will include modern classrooms, laboratories, dining halls, sports infrastructure and information-technology facilities. The announcement places school construction alongside livelihood support, indicating that the programme is intended to combine social infrastructure with economic measures in the constituency.
Another ₹99.4 crore in works will be taken up at the Vemulawada Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple. The package covers 26 components, including mandapams, gopurams, compound walls, site development, water and sewage systems, electrical works, shopping complexes and a concrete road.
The programme also includes seven government office buildings, 10,000-metric-tonne warehouses at Rudrangi and an Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavan at Pedduru. A women’s police station is proposed in Vemulawada, while traffic police stations are planned for Vemulawada and Sircilla. These facilities are intended to expand administrative, storage, women’s-support and traffic-management infrastructure in the region.
The works announced for September 30 remain at different stages, ranging from planned facilities and foundation ceremonies to proposals awaiting approval and cost estimates. The chief minister’s visit will provide the next public milestone for the infrastructure and welfare programme.
