Pune is embarking on an intensified drive to enhance aviation safety and environmental health around its airport, as officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) conducted a joint inspection of waste management activities today. This concerted effort is a direct response to growing concerns over garbage accumulation and its direct correlation with increased bird activity, which poses a significant risk of bird strikes to aircraft.
