Pune’s growing role in India’s advanced manufacturing economy received another boost after a major aerospace engine producer announced fresh capital expenditure aimed at expanding high-precision production capabilities at its industrial facility in the city. The investment is expected to strengthen local supplier networks, create additional technical employment opportunities, and deepen India’s integration into global aviation manufacturing chains at a time when international aerospace demand continues to rise. The company confirmed an additional investment of INR 100 crore into its Pune manufacturing hub, taking cumulative spending at the site to more than INR 510 crore over the past three years. The latest phase will support the installation of advanced welding systems, inspection technologies, precision tooling and factory infrastructure upgrades designed to improve production efficiency and component quality.
