While smaller reservoirs such as Vihar and Tulsi have registered relatively healthier water levels following recent rainfall, larger strategic reservoirs continue to remain critically depleted.
One reservoir remains effectively empty, while others are operating at only a fraction of their designed capacity, limiting the overall recovery of the city’s water reserves. Delayed monsoon onset, highly concentrated rainfall events and changing seasonal distribution are making water resource management increasingly complex.
