Maharashtra Solar EPC Order Adds 72 MW Across Four Districts

Truzon Clean Energies has secured a ₹236-crore engineering, procurement and construction order from Hariom Power & Energy for 72 MW of ground-mounted solar projects in Maharashtra, with work spread across Hingoli, Latur, Parbhani and Beed districts.

The projects are being developed under PM-KUSUM Component C, which supports the solarisation of agricultural electricity supply. Truzon said in a release that 15 MW of the total capacity has already been executed. The company will undertake the projects on a turnkey basis, covering design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning.

The planned solar capacity is expected to generate around 89.89 million units of electricity annually, according to the company. The estimate remains subject to final project specifications and operating conditions.

The order places the projects within Maharashtra’s agricultural power infrastructure, where solarisation is intended to connect renewable generation with the electricity needs of farming operations. The four districts named in the order are located in the Marathwada region, where power supply for agriculture remains closely linked to the reliability and cost of electricity distribution.

Under the arrangement, Truzon will be responsible for delivering the complete project package rather than supplying equipment alone. This includes construction and installation of the ground-mounted plants, followed by testing and commissioning before they are brought into operation.

The company, headquartered in Hyderabad, was formerly known as Suntek Energy Systems. It said it has delivered more than 400 MW of solar capacity and completed over 15,000 installations across residential, commercial, industrial and utility-scale segments.

The announcement does not specify the scheduled completion date for the remaining capacity, the project-wise allocation across the four districts or the final operating configuration. Those details are expected to depend on the final specifications and implementation schedule for the projects.
