Lucknow Airport Expands Saudi Links With Jeddah, Medina Flights

Lucknow airport’s Saudi connectivity has expanded with flyadeal launching direct flights to Jeddah and preparing to begin a new Medina service later this week, adding more international travel options for passengers from Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states.

The Saudi low-cost carrier, a subsidiary of Saudia, commenced the direct Lucknow–Jeddah service on Wednesday. The route will operate three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. Flight F3 1823 will operate from Jeddah to Lucknow, while F3 1824 will run on the return sector.

Flyadeal is also scheduled to begin operating a direct Medina–Lucknow service later this week. The route will run twice a week on Thursday and Saturday. Flight F3 1827 will arrive in Lucknow from Medina, and F3 1828 will operate in the reverse direction.

The airline will also operate direct flights between Lucknow and Dammam on Tuesday and Friday. The services will use flight numbers F3 1825 and F3 1826 respectively, adding another Saudi destination to flyadeal’s operations from the Uttar Pradesh capital.

Officials at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport said the new services would provide additional travel choices for passengers from Uttar Pradesh and nearby states. They identified religious travel, employment, business and family visits as key passenger segments expected to use the expanded connectivity.

The Medina route is particularly relevant for passengers travelling for Umrah and other religious journeys. It is also expected to serve Indian expatriates working in Saudi Arabia and families travelling between the two countries. The direct service removes the need for passengers to use an intermediate airport for these journeys, although the report does not provide details of fares, aircraft types or expected passenger volumes.

With the addition of the flyadeal services, Lucknow airport now has direct international connectivity to nine destinations in the Middle East: Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Dammam, Sharjah, Jeddah, Ras Al Khaimah, Riyadh and Medina. The airport is currently served by six international airlines on these routes.

The expansion adds Saudi Arabia to Lucknow’s wider international network and strengthens the airport’s role as an air gateway for the state and surrounding regions. The available information does not specify whether the new services will alter existing airline schedules or airport capacity allocation. Flyadeal’s announced operating pattern currently covers Jeddah three times weekly, Medina twice weekly and Dammam twice weekly.
