A key cargo handling facility at Haldia Dock Complex has resumed coastal coal handling operations after remaining inactive for nearly nine months, restoring an important logistics link for thermal fuel movement along India’s eastern coastline. The revived mechanical handling system at Berth No. 3 has begun processing a shipment of around 27,100 metric tonnes of thermal coal destined for a southern Indian power utility.
