Bengaluru | September 8, 2026 — The Karnataka government has appointed seven 2024-batch IAS officers as sub-divisional officers in different districts and announced a series of senior administrative changes in the Greater Bengaluru Authority, according to a report by Prajavani.
Pururaj Singh Solanki has been posted as sub-divisional officer of Chikkamagaluru, while Ritwik Verma has been assigned to the Kalaburagi subdivision. Zufiशन Haq has been appointed sub-divisional officer of Vijayapura and Abhinav Jain to the Bidar subdivision.
Khode Sameer Prakash has been posted to the Savanur subdivision in Haveri district. R. Ramya has been appointed sub-divisional officer of Karwar, and Nagendra Babu Kumar has been assigned to the Lingasugur subdivision in Raichur district.
The government has also announced changes involving the Greater Bengaluru Authority and its constituent city administrations. Dr K. Rakesh Kumar, who was serving as commissioner of the Social Welfare Department, has been appointed commissioner of the Greater Bengaluru Authority’s South City Corporation.
K. N. Ramesh, who was commissioner of the Bengaluru South City Corporation, has been appointed special commissioner for health and education in the Greater Bengaluru Authority. C. T. Shilpa Nag, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed special commissioner for elections, disaster management, public relations and coordination in the authority.
R. Venkatachalapathi, who was serving as a special commissioner in the Greater Bengaluru Authority, has been appointed additional commissioner of the Bengaluru Central City Corporation. The reported appointments cover district administration as well as municipal functions including elections, disaster management, health, education and inter-agency coordination.
