Indian Railways has approved three new train services and nine additional stoppages across routes serving Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and other states, expanding passenger options on several intercity and regional corridors. The changes have been cleared by the Railway Board, but will take effect only after the concerned railway zones issue formal notifications.
The most significant approval for passengers in northern India is a new daily night train between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal. Train numbers 14153 and 14154 will connect Kanpur with the Delhi region, stopping at eight stations, including Etawah, Tundla, Hathras, Aligarh, Khurja, Dadri and Ghaziabad.
According to the report, train 14153 will leave Kanpur Central at 8:40 pm and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 4:50 am the following morning. In the return direction, train 14154 will depart Anand Vihar at 11:25 pm and arrive at Kanpur Central at 7:25 am. The service will cover about 428 kilometres in both directions, giving passengers travelling overnight another option between Kanpur, Aligarh and Delhi-NCR.
The Railway Board has also approved daily operation of the Pune-Beed Express in Maharashtra. Train 11433 will depart Pune at 10:45 pm and reach Beed at 6 am, while train 11434 will leave Beed at 9:30 pm and arrive in Pune at 5:20 am. The route includes stops at Uruli, Daund Chord Line, Shrigonda Road, Ahilyanagar, Narayandoh, New Ashti and Amalner Bhandyache, among others.
In Gujarat, the Pratapnagar-Tanda Road MEMU has been approved for daily operation. The service will run through stations including Dabhoi, Chhuchhapura, Bodeli, Pavi, Chhota Udepur, Padaliya Road, Motisadhli, Ambari Richhavi, Alirajpur, Khandala, Jobat and Dekakund. The report cites a September 9 Railway Board circular for the service timings, including departures from Pratapnagar at 5 am and Tanda Road at 5:05 pm.
Nine existing trains have also received approval for new stoppages. The Danapur-Anand Vihar Terminal Jansadharan Express will stop at Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh; the Barmer-Jammu Tawi Express at Sambhar Lake; and the Jaisalmer-Kathgodam Ranikhet Express at Malakhera.
The Bandra Terminus-Udaipur Express will stop at Kapasan, while the Bilaspur-Tirupati Express will stop at Norla Road. The Mumbai CSMT-Howrah Geetanjali Express and Pune-Howrah Azad Hind Express will both stop at Ghatshila. The Tatanagar-Ernakulam Express has been assigned a stoppage at Manoharpur, and the Shri Ganganagar-Bandra Terminus Amarapura Aravali Express will stop at Gogamedi.
The approvals do not mean that the services or stoppages have started immediately. The effective dates, revised schedules and operational details will be announced by the respective railway zones. Passengers have been advised to check the latest official railway notification before booking tickets or planning travel on these routes.
