Malkajgiri Traffic Police have issued a Ganesh immersion traffic advisory for the Trimulgherry Division in Hyderabad, warning organisers that idol-carrying vehicles exceeding prescribed height limits will not be allowed to pass under restricted bridges and flyovers.
The advisory applies to vehicles transporting Ganesh idols along designated immersion routes. Organisers have been asked to check the combined height of the idol and the vehicle before beginning their journey, as clearance restrictions are in place at selected bridges and flyovers in the division.
According to the advisory issued by Malkajgiri Police, the restrictions are intended to prevent vehicles carrying oversized idols from entering structures where the available clearance is inadequate. Vehicles that exceed the specified limits will be stopped and will not be permitted to proceed through the affected locations.
The police have urged organisers to know their route in advance and verify the applicable height restrictions before setting out. The advisory is particularly relevant for processions using large transport vehicles, where the total height of the vehicle and idol can determine whether the route remains accessible.
The restriction places responsibility on organisers to assess their vehicle configuration before reaching a bridge or flyover.
