QualiZeal plans to add more than 600 professionals in Hyderabad by 2028 as the technology services company expands its focus on Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and AI-led engineering services in the city.
The proposed hiring will cover artificial intelligence, cloud, data engineering, digital engineering and enterprise applications, the company said. Hyderabad currently hosts three of QualiZeal’s Global Delivery Centres, with about 80% of its workforce of more than 1,100 people based in the city.
The company has also appointed Sunil Upadrasta as Vice-President and India Head, GCC. In this role, he will lead new-client acquisition, market expansion and engagement with senior executives as QualiZeal seeks to deepen its partnerships with GCCs operating in Hyderabad and elsewhere.
QualiZeal’s announcement comes as Hyderabad strengthens its position as a major destination for global corporate technology and business operations. The company said the city has more than 515 GCCs, accounting for roughly one in four of India’s 2,117 GCCs. Telangana is home to more than 300,000 GCC professionals, while half of all new banking, financial services and insurance GCC entrants in India last year chose Hyderabad, according to figures cited by the company.
The company also said more than 165 GCC units in Hyderabad are linked to Forbes Global 2000 companies. These centres are increasingly taking responsibility for products, platforms and artificial intelligence capabilities rather than functioning only as back-office operations. That shift is creating demand for specialised providers in quality engineering, digital engineering and AI assurance, QualiZeal said.
QualiZeal’s planned recruitment is part of its Vision 2028 ambition to become the fastest Indian IT services company to reach $100 million in annual revenue. The company said strategic partnerships with GCCs would be an important part of that growth plan. It is also exploring partnerships within Hyderabad’s wider GCC ecosystem.
Pradeep Govindasamy, QualiZeal’s co-founder, president and chief executive officer, said GCCs were becoming more strategic to enterprise growth and innovation. He said the company was investing in Hyderabad’s talent ecosystem and strengthening its capabilities to support GCCs with quality engineering, digital engineering and AI assurance.
Upadrasta said his priority would be to build partnerships with GCC leaders that support faster AI adoption while addressing requirements around trust, transparency, compliance and resilience. He said GCCs faced the dual challenge of scaling artificial intelligence and taking ownership of global products and platforms while responding to greater regulatory scrutiny around responsible AI.
The announced recruitment is expected to build specialised capabilities for QualiZeal’s GCC engagements. The company said its QMentisAI, ValidAIte and NexaAI intellectual-property platforms would support its offering, although it did not provide a year-wise hiring schedule, investment figure or details of the locations where the additional employees would be based.
