Hyderabad Bullion Market Records Drop In Gold Rates
Hyderabad’s bullion market witnessed a decline in gold prices on June 5, offering some relief to buyers amid continued fluctuations in precious metal markets. The latest correction comes after weeks of volatile movements influenced by global economic trends, currency fluctuations and investor sentiment.
According to market rates, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is priced at ₹1,42,750, registering a decline of ₹350 compared to the previous session. Similarly, 10 grams of 24-carat gold is trading at ₹1,55,730, reflecting a fall of ₹380. Silver prices remained steady, with the metal currently trading at ₹2.80 lakh per kilogram in Hyderabad. Jewellery traders attribute the recent price movement to fluctuations in international gold markets, where bullion prices continue to respond to global economic indicators, central bank policies and geopolitical developments. Domestic gold prices are also influenced by the rupee-dollar exchange rate and import duties applicable to precious metals.
Market analysts note that despite short-term corrections, gold continues to remain a preferred investment asset for Indian households due to its long-term value retention and liquidity. The metal also sees sustained demand during wedding seasons, festivals and major investment cycles. Hyderabad remains one of India’s prominent jewellery markets, with major retail activity concentrated in areas such as Panjagutta, Mehdipatnam, Tolichowki and Gulzar Houz. The city hosts several established jewellery brands and traditional gold trading hubs that cater to both consumers and investors.
Industry experts advise buyers to monitor live bullion prices before making purchase decisions, as gold rates can change multiple times during the trading day depending on market conditions. While the latest decline may encourage retail purchases, analysts expect gold prices to remain sensitive to global economic developments and investor demand trends in the coming weeks.
