Gujarat Weather Forecast: Dry Spell to Continue for 7 Days

Gujarat weather forecast indicates that dry conditions will continue across the state for the next seven days, with no rain warning or rainfall forecast for Gujarat, Diu, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The outlook means residents and city authorities will have to contend with persistently warm conditions across several urban centres.

The highest maximum temperature recorded in the past 24 hours was 40.4 degrees Celsius in Rajkot, according to the weather department forecast reported by Divya Bhaskar. Rajkot and other parts of Saurashtra and Kutch are expected to remain among the warmer areas during the forecast period.

Ahmedabad is likely to record a maximum temperature of around 37.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of approximately 24.6 degrees Celsius. The report says there is unlikely to be any major change in either the maximum or minimum temperature over the next seven days.

The forecast comes as maximum temperatures in parts of Saurashtra were recorded from above normal to markedly above normal. Gujarat and Kutch also reported maximum temperatures above normal, while parts of north Gujarat recorded minimum temperatures that were markedly higher than normal.

The weather department said a low-pressure area over the southwest Arabian Sea remains in place and is likely to move west-northwest towards the Somali coast. The system is not expected to bring rainfall to Gujarat during the seven-day period covered by the forecast.

For cities, the continuation of dry and warm weather can affect outdoor workers, road and construction activity, and daily water demand, although the supplied forecast does not announce a formal heatwave warning. Authorities and residents will continue to monitor temperature changes and future advisories as the dry spell progresses.
