Greater Noida traffic diversions and a heavy-vehicle entry ban will remain in force from September 24 to 29 during the UP International Trade Show 2026 at India Expo Mart, with separate arrangements planned for the inauguration ceremony on Friday.
According to Traffic DCP Abhay Kumar Mishra, heavy goods vehicles, medium goods vehicles and light goods vehicles will not be allowed on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and roads around India Expo Mart between 7 am and 11 pm during the restriction period. The measures are intended to manage traffic and VIP movement linked to the event, which will be held from September 25 to 29.
The trade show will be inaugurated on Friday by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. For the inauguration, vehicles travelling from the Chilla red light towards Greater Noida through the expressway will be diverted from the Sector 14A flyover towards Golchakkar in Sector 15. Vehicles arriving from the DND will be directed towards Rajnigandha Chowk in Sector 16, while traffic entering from the Kalindi Kunj border will be diverted through the Mahamaya flyover towards Sector 37.
Freight operators have been given alternative routes. Heavy vehicles approaching from the direction of Ghaziabad will be diverted towards the Eastern Peripheral Expressway through Lalkuan. Vehicles travelling towards Delhi on the Yamuna Expressway will be diverted at Jewar toll towards Bulandshahr and will have to use the GT Road. Heavy vehicles within Greater Noida will also be directed towards the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
Trucks carrying exhibition material to India Expo Mart will be moved after unloading through Knowledge Park, LG Golchakkar and the 130-metre road. They will be parked at a facility with capacity for 260 trucks near Sirsa Golchakkar, Rampur and Fatehpur Tiraha. An additional parking arrangement for 80 trucks has been made on the service road near the NIT college in Knowledge Park.
Several diversions will affect passenger traffic as well. Vehicles travelling from Sector 37 towards the expressway will be moved from the Sector 44 roundabout to the service road. Traffic arriving from Agra towards Noida will be directed after Jewar toll towards Jewar town, Sabauta underpass, the Khurja bypass and Jahangirpur. Vehicles may also use the service road from Hindon Cut towards Sector 151.
Traffic travelling from Pari Chowk towards Noida on the expressway will be diverted towards Surajpur. Vehicles travelling from Surajpur towards Pari Chowk will be sent from LG Golchakkar towards the 130-metre road, and traffic arriving from Kasna will also be diverted towards that route. Vehicles travelling from Greater Noida towards Noida through the expressway will be directed from Charkha Golchakkar towards Sector 94, allowing them to continue through the Mahamaya flyover and Sector 37.
Access to Delhi through the DND will also be regulated. Vehicles travelling from the direction of GIP towards the DND via the Film City flyover will be diverted through a U-turn below the flyover. Vehicles travelling from Rajnigandha towards Delhi via the DND flyover will be diverted from Rajnigandha Chowk towards the DSC Road and the New Ashok Nagar border. The restrictions and diversions are scheduled to continue through September 29.
