Greater Noida traffic restrictions will remain in force from 7 am to 11 pm through September 29 around the India Expo Mart and the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway during the UP International Trade Show-2026. Heavy, medium and light goods vehicles will not be allowed on the expressway and roads near the venue during the daily restriction period.
The trade show is being held at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida from September 25 to 29. The restrictions have been introduced to manage traffic during the event and VIP movement. The opening ceremony on Friday will have a separate diversion plan, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah scheduled to inaugurate the event in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, according to the report.
Traffic DCP Abhay Kumar Mishra said vehicles travelling from Chilla Red Light towards Greater Noida through the expressway would be diverted towards the Sector 15 Golchakkar through the Sector 14A flyover on Friday. Vehicles arriving from the DND side will be sent towards Rajnigandha Chowk in Sector 16, while traffic entering from the Kalindi Kunj border will be diverted towards Sector 37 through the Mahamaya flyover.
Goods vehicles will have to use alternative routes during the restriction period. Heavy vehicles stopped from using the Noida Expressway will be diverted towards Ghaziabad and can reach the Eastern Peripheral Expressway through Lalkuan. Vehicles travelling towards Delhi on the Yamuna Expressway will be diverted from the Jewar toll plaza towards Bulandshahr and will be able to use the GT Road. Heavy vehicles within Greater Noida will also be directed towards the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
Trucks carrying exhibition material to India Expo Mart will be allowed to unload their consignments before being moved from Knowledge Park through LG Golchakkar and the 130-metre road. They will be parked at a facility near Sirsa Golchakkar, Rampur and Fatehpur Tiraha, which has space for 260 trucks. Another parking arrangement for 80 trucks has been made on the service road near NIT College in Knowledge Park.
Several diversions will also affect passenger traffic. Vehicles travelling from Sector 37 towards the expressway will be moved from the Sector 44 Golchakkar to the service road. Traffic coming from Agra towards Noida will be taken off the route after the Jewar toll plaza towards Jewar town, with an alternative path through the Sabota underpass, Khurja bypass and Jahangirpur. Vehicles may also use the service road from the Hindon cut towards Sector 151.
Traffic from Pari Chowk towards Noida through the expressway will be diverted towards Surajpur. Vehicles travelling from Surajpur towards Pari Chowk will be sent towards the 130-metre road through LG Golchakkar, while traffic from Kasna will also be diverted towards the same road. Vehicles travelling from Greater Noida towards Noida through the expressway will be redirected at Charkha Golchakkar towards Sector 94 and can continue through the Mahamaya flyover and Sector 37.
Vehicles heading to the DND from the GIP side through the Film City flyover will be diverted using the U-turn below the flyover. Traffic travelling from Rajnigandha towards Delhi through the DND flyover will be diverted at Rajnigandha Chowk towards the DSC Road and the New Ashok Nagar border. The restrictions and diversions will continue until September 29, according to the traffic plan reported by Navbharat Times – Noida.
