The Greater Bengaluru Authority will restart its e-Khata mela in Bengaluru from October 31, offering property owners assistance with e-Khata applications, new khata registrations and conversion from B-khata to A-khata. The camps will be held every Saturday at locations identified by the commissioners and joint commissioners of the five municipal corporations under the GBA.
GBA Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao said instructions had been issued to the respective commissioners and joint commissioners to make the necessary arrangements for conducting the camps in an organised manner. Details of the venues will be announced through the Greater Bengaluru Authority’s official website and social media channels.
The e-Khata camps are intended to help citizens who are facing difficulties obtaining digital property records or completing related applications. The service will cover applications for e-Khata, creation of new khata records and conversion from B-khata to A-khata within the GBA limits.
The authority has also uploaded information videos in Kannada and English on its YouTube channel explaining how citizens can access e-Khata services. Residents can visit the GBA e-Aasthi portal at GBAeAasthi.Karnataka.gov.in and submit applications themselves after reviewing the process.
Citizens who need assistance can register for the Janasevaka service through the state government’s slot-booking portal. Janasevakas will visit applicants’ homes and help them complete the application process. This option is intended for residents who are unable to independently navigate the online e-property system.
Applications can also be submitted through 140 Bengaluru One centres located across the GBA area. The service is available at these centres on payment of a fee of ₹45. The authority has directed civic officials to prepare the venues and communicate the camp schedule to the public before the first Saturday camp on October 31.
