Delhi Traffic Police will impose restrictions across parts of south Delhi from 1 pm to midnight on October 30 for Diljit Dosanjh’s concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with commuters warned of diversions, parking curbs and congestion around the venue. The police have advised concertgoers to use the Delhi Metro, plan their journeys in advance and follow directions from personnel deployed in the area.
The concert is part of Dosanjh’s ‘Aura India Tour 2026’ and will be held at JLN Stadium in Lodhi Colony. The affected area includes Bhishm Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg between Defence Colony Flyover and Lodhi Colony Flyover, Arch Bishop Marg, Fourth Avenue Road and Fifth Avenue Road.
Internal roads in the CGO Complex and Lodhi Colony, roads surrounding the stadium, Dayal Singh College Road and a section of the Barapullah Flyover between the INA side and Jangpura Metro Station Gate No. 2 will also be affected. The restrictions are intended to manage vehicle movement around the stadium during the concert.
At the Lodhi Road-Dayal Singh College red light T-point, vehicles will not be permitted to enter Dayal Singh College Road. Straight traffic on Lodhi Road between Lodhi Flyover red light and Aurobindo Marg will continue to move. At the Lala Lajpat Rai Marg-Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Marg junction, vehicles will be diverted towards Lodhi Flyover instead of being allowed to enter the stadium road. The restriction will also apply to the slip road leading towards Soochna Bhawan.
Traffic approaching the JLN Stadium red light on Bhishm Pitamah Marg will not be allowed to proceed towards Gate No. 1 or Kotla Mubarak Pur Flyover. Vehicles will instead be directed to take a U-turn towards Mehar Chand Market in Lodhi Colony. At Kushak Nallah Bus Depot red light, vehicles will not be permitted to proceed towards Gates 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Vehicles heading towards Lodhi Road will be diverted through Fourth Avenue Road, while those travelling towards Aurobindo Marg will be redirected towards INA.
Near Mehar Chand Market, traffic moving from the Lodhi Colony Road-Fifth Avenue Road T-point towards Bhishm Pitamah Marg will be diverted towards Lodhi Road, Fourth Avenue Road and Jor Bagh Road. Depending on traffic conditions, the police may also introduce restrictions at the Kotla Mubarak Pur red light on Bhishm Pitamah Marg and the Bhishm Pitamah Marg-Lodhi Road T-point.
The traffic police has recommended the Violet Line for access to JLN Stadium or Jangpura Metro stations. Passengers using the Yellow Line can get off at INA or Jor Bagh and take a ride towards the Kushak Nallah Bus Depot red light, as specified in the advisory. Commuters have been asked to allow additional travel time and follow instructions issued at the affected junctions.
Taxis, auto-rickshaws and app-based cabs will have to use designated pick-up and drop-off points. Arch Bishop Marg and Lal Masjid in Pragati Vihar will serve concertgoers using Gates 13, 14 and 17. The Kushak Nallah Bus Depot red light will serve passengers using Gates 3, 6 and 8. Cabs will not be allowed to halt or park along roadsides near the venue.
There will be no parking for the general public at or around JLN Stadium. Limited parking for special invitees will be available at Sunehri Pula Bus Depot and the Dayal Singh College parking area. Roadside parking and halting by taxis, auto-rickshaws and other cabs will not be permitted. Emergency and medical vehicles will be given priority and provided obstruction-free passage during the restrictions.
For assistance, commuters can contact the Delhi Traffic Police helpline at 1095. Emergencies should be reported on 112. The police has asked motorists and concertgoers to use designated routes, avoid the restricted roads where possible and cooperate with traffic personnel until the arrangements remain in force.
