Tamil Nadu has recorded its highest-ever single-day wind energy contribution to the electricity grid, marking a significant milestone in the state’s transition towards cleaner power while reinforcing the growing role of renewable energy in supporting urban expansion, industrial activity and rising household demand.
The latest surge in wind power generation comes at a time when electricity consumption across Tamil Nadu continues to remain elevated, particularly during evening peak hours when cities, manufacturing clusters and commercial districts draw heavily on the grid.
